RESOUND’s Broadway Concerts are more than performances; they’re spaces where beauty, story, and human connection come alive. With a warm, sometimes comedic, approach, husband-and-wife performers Stephen and Juliette Trafton invite audiences into a shared journey of what it means to be human.

A Peek Behind the Curtain

As professional Broadway performers with credits including Les Misérables on Broadway, The Phantom of the Opera national tour (Stephen as Raoul, Juliette as Christine), and The Fantasticks Off-Broadway, the Traftons bring professional excellence shaped by years on stage - and stories from those years. They’ll share a unique look at what happens behind the scenes in professional theatre.

About the Performers

Stephen and Juliette Trafton

Stephen Trafton has performed on Broadway in Les Misérables (Original Revival Cast) and on the National Tour of The Phantom of the Opera, where he performed the role of Raoul. He has also appeared in leading roles at regional theatres across the country in productions including Oklahoma!, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Bye Bye Birdie, Love’s Labour’s Lost, Romeo & Juliet, and Beauty and the Beast. A graduate of Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea, OH, Stephen performs Living Letters—including Philippians, Ephesians, Colossians, Galatians, and Philemon—at venues across the country.

Juliette Trafton starred as Luisa in the world’s longest-running musical, The Fantasticks, directed by Tom Jones in New York City. She previously performed as Christine Daae in the National Tour of The Phantom of the Opera, and has played leading and featured roles regionally in Guys and Dolls, Into the Woods, Jane Eyre, Peter Pan, and Kiss Me, Kate. A commercial performer whose work has appeared on national television, Juliette also trained in improv at the Upright Citizens Brigade in NYC and SAK Comedy Lab in Orlando.

Some performances may also feature artists from Broadway, Disney, and the professional theater world.

Whitney Meyer

Whitney’s vocal career spans a diverse range of experiences, including Off-Broadway as the original Angelina in Angelina Ballerina the Musical to soloist on Epcot’s current fireworks show, Luminous. She has spent the past nine years performing as a Soprano with Disney's esteemed a cappella ensemble, the Voices of Liberty, at Epcot. Her voice can be heard in Disney fireworks shows, parades, and cruise lines around the world. Whitney also serves as a Vocal Coach at Disney, in addition to casting the “cast choir" for Epcot's Christmas Candlelight Processional.

By day, Whitney designs homes in the real estate market as a home stager and interior designer, transforming properties to help buyers feel at home. Above all of these creative endeavors, her most important role is as MAMA to her son Greyson (7) and Avonlea (4) and wife of 16 years to her best friend, Nathan.

Nathan Meyer

Nathan Meyer has performed in Equity theaters across the country and nearly a decade with Disney. His stage credits include Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Joseph), Xanadu (Sonny), Sweeney Todd (Anthony), and Hairspray (Link). At Disney, Nathan performed on the Magic Kingdom stage with Mickey and Friends, sang on Main Street, U.S.A. with the Dapper Dans, and entertained audiences at the iconic Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue at Fort Wilderness Resort.

Beyond the stage, Nathan is a successful Central Florida realtor and has recently been recognized as one of the Top 20 Realtors Under 40, a testament to his excellence and dedication in the real estate industry.

Amyia Burrell

Amyia (choreographer) is the Head of the Young Dancer Program at Orlando Ballet Company and School and a modern dance professor at Valencia College and Dr. Phillips High School’s Dance Magnet.

Originally from Los Angeles, she trained with renowned artists including Debbie Allen and Tina Landon, and performed with The Lion King National Tour, Tokyo Disney, and Walt Disney World. Since joining Orlando Ballet in 2018, Amyia has received honors such as Outstanding Teacher and Choreographer at Youth America Grand Prix. Her students have earned top awards and been accepted into elite programs worldwide, including The Royal Ballet, Princess Grace Academy, and San Francisco Ballet. She is a certified instructor with ABT, Balanced Body Pilates, and Progressing Ballet Technique, and remains deeply grateful to God, her family, and all who have supported her journey.

John B. deHaas

A professional music director and pianist for many years, John has been working in Orlando since his move here in 1999. Original shows include Psycho Mode(Patron’s Pick) Just This Once: A Song Cycle (Orlando Fringe & Critics’ Choice Winner for Best Original Score), Toiley T. Paper: Summer of Love (Hollywood and San Diego, CA), Toiley T. Paper: Roll Model (Orlando & Hollywood Fringe), Tappin’ and Yappin’! (Orlando Fringe & The Abbey), Halloween the Musical (Footlight Theater & Margeson), Theme Park Diva (Orlando Fringe). Recent shows: Dreamgirls (Garden Theatre),The Last Five Years, Chess in Concert, [title of show], Bat Boy, First Date, Cabaret (Florida Theatrical), Heathers (DPPAC), The Fantasticks, Les Misérables, The Big Bang (Orlando Shakes), 27 shows for West Orange HS.

Currently working as music director, comedy writer for Toiley T. Paper, TikTok superstar (3 million followers).
